Basic Information
Juvederm Ultra 4 is an injectable medical device that aims to rejuvenate and enhance the overall appearance of a patient in a pain-free way. It is characterized by high safety, strong effectiveness, and long-lasting duration.
While being a highly dense pyrogenic-free product, Juvederm Ultra 4 has a smooth gel-like consistency. Its composition includes ingredients of the greatest quality, namely:
- Cross-linked hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin with a concentration of 24 mg/ml;
- Lidocaine hydrochloride;
- Phosphate buffer.
On a side note: Hyaluronic acid in the composition of Juvederm Ultra 4 has a synthetic origin. Therefore, it functions as a solid substitution for the naturally occurring substance that might be found in joints, eyes, and skin tissues of the human body.
Together, the above-mentioned components of Juvederm Ultra 4 create a perfect formula to smooth wrinkles of the deepest nature and augment lips. Hyaluronic acid in the composition of a dermal filler attracts moisture to skin cells and accelerates the natural production of collagen. Lidocaine reduces the feeling of discomfort and phosphate buffer regulates the pH level of a patient’s body during the injection.
The technology employed in the production of Juvederm Ultra 4 is 3D Matrix. It ensures high safety, smooth texture, and great plasticity of the product.
According to the treatment protocol of Juvederm Ultra 4, it is intended for professional use. More precisely, it should be injected exclusively by a licensed healthcare provider with the help of a 27G 1/2 needle into:
- Either the deep dermis of a patient in the case of using Juvederm Ultra 4 for skin;
- Or the lip mucous membrane of a patient in the case of using Juvederm Ultra 4 for lips.
When properly performed, the treatment with the help of Juvederm Ultra 4 ensures a patient with a durable result that might last up to 12 months. However, its exact duration strongly depends on the individual peculiarities of a patient (such as their age, skin type, and health condition) and might be substantially prolonged by periodical touch-up injections.
On a side note: The package of Juvederm Ultra 4 (2x1ml) package includes two syringes with 1ml of the hyaluronic acid gel each.
Indications
Juvederm Ultra 4 is an injectable implant that is indicated for aging skin that has lost its elasticity and moisture (as well as for thin, dehydrated, and poorly defined lips). In other words, the product is used to treat different aesthetic issues of the skin and lips.
